<description>Join us April 14, 2007 for the Inaugural Dismal Swamp Stomp Half Marathon. The flat 13.1 mile couse will take runners on a spectacular journey through lush landscape and rich history. This out and back race is a USTAF certified and sanctioned course. in the United States, they call themselves an “Orchestra of Voices.”

<description>Paddle on the Dismal Swamp Canal, adjacent to the Great Dismal Swamp, “a unique and mysterious place,” —surveyed by George Washington&apos;s survey company in 1763. Paddlers push off from Chesapeake&apos;s Dismal Swamp Canal Trail and navigate their own canoes or kayaks from Chesapeake, VA, to a destination joining other paddlers for a picnic lunch.</description>
